Boats for SaleBuying a BoatSelling a Boat

Buying a boat through Cowroast Marinas is a process we can guide you through from beginning to end.

The process starts with:

Deciding which style of boat suits your needs, for example: you want a live aboard, then you will require a fixed double, possibly a traditional style which will give you more internal space, some sort of heating, and a well fitted bathroom.

Next:

you need to get the details of the boats that interest you, either from this web site which is constantly up-dated, or contact us for a brochure.

Then the viewing:

We only broker boats from our marina, so it is an easy process of contacting us at the office for an appointment to view the boat / boats you are interested in. We are on hand to answer any questions.

Making an offer:

We are under obligation as brokers, to put every offer to the vendor, it is then accepted or negotiated. Once an agreed figure is reached, we require a £1,000 deposit which puts the boat under offer until a survey (which is optional) has taken place.

Survey:

If you have a survey, (there are two types, full survey and hull survey) which we would always recommend, (we can furnish you with a list of independent surveyors who work in this area), the surveyor will give you a report, things which may be included in this are: Work required, Condition of Hull, General condition.

Paying for your narrowboat:

We can take a personal cheque, bankers draft, or you can electronically transfer the funds. Once the funds have cleared in our clients account the boat is yours. You will be given all relevant documentation and a transfer of ownership document.
